Some facts about me...
I returned to freelancing in 2018 having spent six years as Communications Manager for the International Tourism Partnership and the Youth Career Initiative; both programmes of Business in the Community.
There I was solely responsible for their PR, digital and social communications, web content and marketing materials.
I was editor of the highly respected Green Hotelier magazine.
Besides a specialist understanding of sustainability and responsible business in the hospitality sector, I have extensive knowledge of public sector catering - school dinners, care home & hospital catering - and sustainability in the food service industry.
For 15+ years I've written countless features and articles in national, trade, specialist and B2B media. More recently I've applied my knowledge to a variety of specialist reports and horizon-scanning resources.
You can see some of the reports I've researched and written at the bottom of this page.
Other highlights of my media career include six years in editorial at Radio Times magazine, BBC World News press office, writer and editor of two B2C magazines for Pelican purchasing, author of the LACA 25th anniversary commemorative book, a monthly dps for Vegetarian Living and comms associate for the Eating Better campaign besides scripts for a children's EFL animated series and a contributor to 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die.
